The Lake County Homebrewers took part in the American Homebrewers Association’s Big Brew Day. The AHA Big Brew is about homebrewers getting together to share their love for brewing truly interesting beers. The numbers aren’t out for this year’s event but in 2010 over 5,000 people brewed 11,000 gallons of beer at 291 sites on six continents. Our group brewed about 40 gallons of a stout which will go into a bourbon barrel for about six months.
We had a great day with a bunch of folks stopping by to see how easy it is to make tasty beer.
